Defects are grouped and coded according to the workmanship area.
The following point value system should be used to assess the defective units found during the inspection.
Critical Defect This is a safety defect which has the potentiality to cause significant injury or illness in person's assembling, handling, or using the product, and/or is not in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Major Defect This is a defect which has functional problem and/or aesthetic conditions which may prevent the product from being sold. High probability of a consumer/dealer return, significant customer dissatisfaction, and no more purchase.
Minor Defect This is a defect which the customer will notice, but most probably, will not be returned by the consumer, dealer
or write a complaint letter. Defects in this class may negatively impact the consumer's opinion on the quality of product.
Manday system for general product:

Initiating an Inspection
An official Inspection Request Form should be used to request an inspection. To expedite an inspection, UTS requires the following:
Copy of Purchase OrderSupplier/factory's Name, Address, and Contact detailsMerchandise Packaging InformationOrdered QuantityInspection Standard, etc.
Other inspection references including:Reference/Sign or Golden Sample(s)Product SpecificationsPackaging & Packing InstructionOther special instruction from the client, etc.Inspection Arrangement
Inspection booking should be made at least 3 working days prior to the scheduled date of the inspection.
Appropriate equipment / facilities and a worker to assist with packing and unpacking of items may need the supporting from the factory during these inspections, and need confirm at least 1 working day prior to inspection day.
Otherwise instructed or agreed by the client, UTS inspectors will process with an inspection when the consignment is 100% produced with at least 80% packed and marked. There is no tolerance on the per cent of goods produced and packed. At this time a random sample will be selected from the whole consignment as per standard procedure. To ensure suppliers do not abuse the requirement of goods availability %, it is recommended that suppliers should be instructed to target 100% of packed goods available for inspection to ensure the products' quality and reduce the risk.

UTS will indicate an inspection as Rejected or ON-HOLD for client's disposition if any of the inspection criteria is rejected or some points need to be further confirmed by the client.
UTS will indicate an inspection as Accepted only if all of the above mentioned inspection criteria are accepted during the inspection.
